Brent Strong, 47 passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with Brain Cancer. Brent was born in Seattle, WA on June 27, 1968. He graduated from Tumwater High School Class of 1986.
Brent is survived by his two sons, Chad (Kailey) and Bo (Rachelle), three Granddaughters, Rielynn, Marlee and Shaylee, his parents Jerry and Janet, brother Steve (Joni) and nieces Sophia and Grace, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brent started his career in firefighting as a volunteer at the Scott Lake station at the early age of 16. He attended college and obtained his degree in Fire Science. In January 1997 he started his career with Littlerock Fire Rescue, after many years as a volunteer with Littlerock, Lewis County Fire District 12, and Tumwater. Brent also served with the city of Olympia and
Tumwater as a career firefighter.Brent was an inspiring leader and Training Officer, who loved to serve his community and mentor his students and colleagues. He was a pioneer in the fire training arena and instrumental in the development and success of the Thurston County Fire Academy, Thurston County Training Consortium.
